Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society

SCVOS - San Jose's Finest Orchid Society
Attend the Spring in Guadelupe Gardens Festival

The Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society (SCVOS) welcomes those who enjoy the beauty, challenge, and enjoyment of growing orchids. The SCVOS has shared information on orchid culture, hosted renowned speakers, and featured spectacular shows for more than 50 years.

The 200 SCVOS Members range from amateurs to professional growers with one aim -- to enhance their enjoyment of orchids. Each monthly meeting features speakers, usually including a slide presentation, and orchids for sale. Meetings also features a spectacular Show and Tell Table - members are encouraged to bring in their blooming plants for display and discussion.

Special activities include an Orchid Auction, visits to orchid growers, greenhouse tours, and an Annual Holiday Dinner. Our annual Orchid Show attracts thousands of visitors. We encourage you to browse our website to learn more about the society, and welcome you to attend our monthly meeting as a guest. The public is invited to attend society meetings free of charge, but the benefits to membership are numerous!

The SCVOS is a non-profit organization that meets the first Wednesday of each month at the American Legion Hall at 1504 Minnesota Avenue in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, California.  The usual meeting starts at 7:30 pm. The schmoozing starts at about 7:00 pm.
