Membership in the SCVOS has its privledges! For your yearly dues of $20 per household (for electronic newsletters) or $25 (for paper newsletters), enjoy the following:

• Learn how to grow orchids
  There's no better way to become a better orchid grower! Monthly meetings feature a wide variety of species and hybrids on the Show and Tell table, programs by leading experts on a number of topics, and the opportunity to use a lending library equipped with useful and sometimes hard-to-find resources. Annual resources include the Orchid Dance Card, a cumulative program to tangibly develop your skills as an orchid grower.
  
  
• Meet other SCVOS members
  The chance to interact with other growers, from amateurs to professionals presents a wonderful opportunity to advance your skills at growing orchids. Members include photographers, artists, designers, and people who have written and lectured on orchids.
  
  
• Participate in SCVOS events
  The SCVOS has many events open to members alone: our annual summer auction, bus tour, spring show, spring grower open house, winter Holiday Party, and other activities provide a wonderful chance to acquire more knowledge and, more importantly, more plants!

Meetings are held at the American Legion Hall at 1504 Minnesota Avenue in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, California. Meetings begin at 7:30 pm on the first wednesday of the month; feel free to drop by earlier to enjoy the company.
